It is said that Women’s Month is a celebration of women’s achievements and the important (and often under-recognised) role that they play in South African society. Three women researchers from RESEP have recently appeared in interviews for SU’s corporate communication features. Ronelle Burger, Linda Zuze and Anja Smith each discuss, amongst other things, the origins of their research interests (most notably issues of poverty, health, education, income distribution, social mobility, economic development and social policy), the impacts that they believe their research has on South African women, and what wisdom they might share with the next generation of women researchers in South Africa.
