Jesal Kika

PhD Candidate

Jesal Kika is a PhD candidate at Stellenbosch University under the supervision of Professor Servaas van der Berg. She is also a consultant for the Southern Africa Education portfolio at the World Bank, supporting operations and providing analytical and advisory services across South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, Botswana and Namibia. Prior to joining the World Bank, Jesal worked as a researcher in the Research Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate at the national Department of Basic Education. She holds an Honours (Cum Laude) and Masters (Cum Laude) in Economic Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of the Witwatersrand.
