Rebecca Selkirk

Rebecca has an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science and honours and masters degrees in Economics from Stellenbosch University. At various times throughout her studies, she has worked as a high school teacher, university lecturer and tutor, and high school coach and boarding house assistant. This has given her valuable exposure to parts of both the public and private school sector in South Africa, as well as experience of working in higher education.
From 2020, Rebecca will be working on a PhD in the economics of education field. This field has been her primary research focus, but she is also interested in game theory, experimental and behavioural economics, and broader development issues. She has been involved with ad hoc research and administration work for RESEP since 2016.
