Employment and Unemployment in South Africa – what do we know about the SA labour market?

Following Professor Servaas van der Berg’s recent criticisms of employment agency Adcorp’s “deeply flawed” employment and unemployment statistics, the Economic Society of South Africa and Investec Wealth and Investment is hosting a presentation entitled “Employment and Unemployment in South Africa – what do we know about the SA labour market?” on the 26th of March in Cape Town. Adcorp labour economicst Loane Sharp will be defending the company’s statistics against Professor van der Berg, whose criticisms he deems “parochial” and unwarranted.  The details of this presentation can be found below.
