Sue-Ann is employed at the Desmond Tutu TB Center (DTTC), Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University. She graduated with a M.A. (research psychology) cum laude from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2003 and is currently registered for a PhD at Stellenbosch University. Her dissertation focuses on increasing access to HIV counselling and testing using a community-based strategy. With a broad interest in public health, Sue-Ann’s specific interests include access to health services, health system strengthening, health economics and non-communicable diseases. She is a strong supporter of operational research, believing in the influential role that this type of research plays in determining health policy.
